As are we all! It’s not just difficult — it’s impossible for both men and women. That’s where we need God…

Reality though, we really are only facing three options:

(1). The societal option: All you have is your sexuality. Have lots of sex if you like (though being raped is still mostly your fault), but you will only find your value in being just like a man.

(2). Fundamentalism’s option: Don’t have sex except as a duty to your husband. Your feminine power to draw in any way is pretty much a toxin requiring a hasmat team to manage (in addition to rape still being your fault) and you ned to repent of such while you get on with the task of being chief cook and bottle washer.

(3). The full message of Scripture: Called to a state that is so fully feminine, so powerfully magnetic on every level and so fully alive most women can not even imagine half of it. Most shake in terror at the nerve it would take to even live out a fraction of such and, therein find how deep their need for God to hold, guide and support them every step of the intoxicatingly dangerous way.

If you look at it, the evasion of #1 and the hideous dishonor of #2 actually are far more comfortable (Though sickening) options…
