Incompass Human Services Releases Their FY 2024-2028 Strategic Plan

As we embark on the next chapter with our FY24-28 Strategic Plan, our first as an affiliate of the New England Human Services Collaborative (NEHSCO), we are reminded of our profound commitment to our foundational mission. Care Champions enable those people we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries to thrive to their fullest potential, ensuring they not only find a place in our community but truly thrive within it. We continue to work towards our Incompass2030 vision rooted in enhancing our ability to provide critical and innovative support to the people we serve. We are heartened by the strides we’ve made, and excited that the coming half-decade is not just about continuity; it’s about transformative growth. As the landscape of human services evolves, so must we, ensuring that innovation is at the forefront, our workforce feels invested in and valued, and our services and supports are broadened to cater to the multifaceted needs of those we serve.

And that’s what you’ll find in the strategic plan – bold initiatives indicative of a relentless pursuit to empower these individuals and their caregivers. We are charting an ambitious path to scale our agency as a part of NEHSCO, and central to this growth is our dedication to investing in our Care Champion workforce. Recognizing their pivotal role, we aim to foster an environment of continuous learning, engagement, and palpable career growth opportunities. Parallelly, we are on a quest to invigorate our Board of Directors by onboarding even more experienced leaders whose unique skillsets align with and amplify our strategic objectives. And as we grow, we are committed to maintaining operational and administrative excellence, using data-driven methods to ensure that our expansion is matched by the resources and efficiency required to uphold and further our mission.

Incompass CARF International Survey on November 13-14

A survey team from CARF International will be visiting Incompass Human Services on November 13, 2023, to November 14, 2023. We invited the surveyors to evaluate how well we meet international standards for quality. The survey will tell us what we are doing well and ways we might improve. As a result of this survey, we may earn or continue accreditation. More information is below in both English and Spanish. Additionally, each of the documents can be downloaded below:

Incompass Human Services Releases Their FY23 Annual Report

Incompass Human Services Releases Their FY23 Annual Report

It is with great pleasure that we share the FY 2023 Annual Report for Incompass Human Services, a year marked by exceptional achievements, growth, and, as always, an unwavering dedication to our mission. This was a significant year for our agency, as it marked the end of our three-year strategic plan. In the coming year, we will share our new strategic plan that charts a bold new future for the next five years.

We can continue to evolve our program offerings to meet the needs of the people we serve. We opened our first medically complex respite home, which will attract individuals from across the state. We grew our newly dubbed Safe Minds Community Center and opened our second group home for residents with acquired brain injuries. We recruited 15 new Shared Living Provider families which has expanded the reach of that critical program. And we brought on The Arc of Opportunity as an affiliate, an agreement that enables us both to expand programs in our region and collaborate on critical initiatives including staff training, procurement, and technology.

A Refreshing Update From Incompass News That Cares

A Refreshing Update From Incompass News That Cares

The Caring Force “Broadcast Your Love” contest inspired us to create an Incompass news broadcast. We’re proud to present the first episode of Incompass News That Cares! We asked folks from our CBDS program to work their art magic, and they blew us away. They created an original backdrop for our makeshift news studio and a unique microphone cover.

Our in-the-field reporters also knocked the assignment out of the park. Director of Day Services Emily Horn came to us live from the halls of our day habilitation program. She explained that “arts and crafts play a crucial role in enhancing [program participants] lives and self-expression.” The project of the week was summer mocktail stands.

Activities Specialist Cathy Brunelle and CBDS program participants walked us through their garden routine and showed off the fruits of their labor. You can read more about our therapeutic garden program here.

We kicked it over to Program Manager Stephanie Reed and program participant John to discuss the Safe Minds Community Center. Brain injury services are a new addition to the Incompass program portfolio. John exclaims that his favorite part of coming to the community center is “the camaraderie and playing chess!” Though we wouldn’t suggest going up against him in chess – he’s a fierce opponent.
